D.L. Hughley's late night comedy show on CNN, "D.L. Hughley Breaks the News," is ending its five month run at the end of the month."D. L. Hughley Breaks the News" was billed as a Saturday night talk show tied to the week's news. The show averaged 751,000 viewers (284,000 in the 25-54 demo) for its 18 episode run. It peaked in its second week with 1.5 million viewers. It was taped in front of a studio audience in New York. In a statement CNN said "D.L. approached CNN about being permanently based in Los Angeles, where his family lives. To accommodate this, we agreed upon a new role where he will be a contributor for the network based in Los Angeles."
Side bar: I didn't see this working out after the elections, but I'm sure D.L will find his way back on TV soon.
